Foreign Language Program at HCS

The mission of the Foreign Language Program (FLP) is to create more local opportunities for foreign language learning by facilitating instruction of elementary students by Colgate student volunteers. Elementary students gain a greater understanding of the linguistic and cultural diversity around the world while Colgate volunteers gain practical experience in teaching, pedagogical collaboration, and leadership. Colgate student volunteers teach lessons in German, French, Spanish and Chinese for six half-hour lessons a semester.

The program meets on Friday afternoons from 1:50-2:50 pm.
